Witness Report
On September 13, 2025, at about 4:57 PM, I was in the backyard in Clifton, New Jersey, hanging out with friends and celebrating when I happened to notice a strange white object in the eastern sky. The best way to describe it is as a white puff with no clear shape. It was high in the sky at about a 70-degree angle of elevation and appeared to be roughly 2 to 3 miles away. It seemed to just float there, despite the sky being clear and the weather being very windy. The object was white in color and appeared to leave some kind of trail. The sighting lasted approximately 10 minutes or a little longer. There were 14 people present who could observe it. I could not determine its exact size, and its estimated speed was extremely slow. It did not resemble a normal cloud, which is what made it stand out.
