Part of the backstory here is pretty straightforward. I’ve always been drawn to the stories that linger in the gray area. The ones that are maybe explainable, maybe not, but interesting either way. The stories people tell after seeing something they can’t forget. The clips that look ordinary at first until one detail throws everything off. The old legends that never fully disappear. The new cases that catch fire online because, even if nobody can prove exactly what happened, people know when something feels unusual.

Sometimes those stories will turn out to be misidentifications. Sometimes they’ll be hoaxes. Sometimes they’ll remain unresolved. And sometimes the real reason they matter has less to do with proving what happened and more to do with understanding why so many people care.
That’s an important part of this site too.
